Advantage CCS is offering a completely free Online Budget Advisor tool in order to help consumers everywhere with creating and maintaining a realistic household budget. The Online Budget Advisor tool allows individuals to go through a simple step-by-step process that can offer recommendations about budget areas that may need improvement.
There are certain events in a person’s life that could result in the need for more financial resources. Those different “life events” are covered in the budgeting process, and people who are dealing with an upcoming wedding or planning to have kids in the near future can see how their overall finances will be affected. The financial impact of a divorce, going from renting an apartment to owning a home, and job loss are also itemized during the budgeting process.
Advantage CCS would like to announce that new features will soon be added to the Online Budget Advisor tool all throughout 2013 in order to make the budgeting tool more useful for the average person. A new “goal tracking” feature will let individuals set up certain financial goals such as buying a house, saving for a family vacation or being able to contribute to paying for college costs for their kids. Bank of America has given Advantage CCS a $12,500.00 grant for updating the online budgeting system and adding the new goal tracking tool.
Not only does the Online Budget Advisor tool offer the ability to set goals and explore budgeting options based on different scenarios that are chosen by the consumer, but the budgeting tool also generates a custom 20+ page “Action Plan” PDF that gives the individual advice based on their unique inputs. Consumers can learn how to cut down on extra expenses or pay down their debt in order to regain financial freedom.
The end results of the budgeting tool analysis are totally private, and no information that was added as part of the step-by-step intake process will ever be shared with anyone. It’s 100% secure, confidential, and super easy to use.
The Online Budget Advisor tool has had a pretty successful year with nearly 16,000 new and returning visitors in 2012, and the Agency expects to see an uptrend in visits as new features are added. External companies have started linking to the online budgeting tool to help their customers learn how to budget accordingly in order to meet obligations such as paying their utilities. One example of an external link is a reference to the online budgeting tool by Peoples Natural Gas. The Agency is trying to find other reputable companies that would like to offer this free budgeting worksheet to their customers and/or clients.
