Online Pre Discharge Bankruptcy Class
The online bankruptcy education class offered by Advantage Credit Counseling allows you to complete the bankruptcy education requirements from the convenience of your own home and at your own pace.

(If In-person Session is needed, the cost is also $25.00)
Who Should Take the Class?
- Anyone who has filed for bankruptcy and has a case number.
- NOTE: You must have a case number in order to register for this class.
- You MUST complete the class within 45 days of your 341 Meeting of Creditors (also referred to as a hearing). If you are not sure when this is, contact your attorney.
What Should I Expect?
- You MUST to spend a minimum of 2 hours completing the class but you can log in and out as often as you need to.
- Class begins with a multiple choice pre-test. There is no need to panic because you cannot “fail” the test. Just answer the questions to the best of your ability.
- Class consists of eight chapters with a four question mini-quiz at the end of each chapter.
- At the end of the class, you are required to take a multiple choice post-test. You cannot access the post-test unless you have spent a minimum of 2 hours in the class.
- You will receive your certificate of completion regardless of the scores you receive on the tests and quizzes.
- If you are filing jointly and are able to complete the entire session together online, please indicate “yes” as you register. If both joint filers cannot complete the online session together, and the filers will have to complete the online session at different times, please indicate “no” as you register. Once you submit your registration, you must attend the online session as you have indicated.
When Will I Get my Certificate?
- Within 3 business days of completion of the class. Certificates are only sent via email. You must have access to a printer.
- If you do not receive your certificate within 3 business days, contact us toll-free at 866-430-2227.
- For married couples, each spouse will receive a separate certificate.
- We will email your certificate to your attorney if you provide us with your attorney’s email address on the registration form. Otherwise, you are responsible for providing the certificate to your attorney.
What is the Cost for the Class?
- $25 per person.
- In limited circumstances you may be eligible to have the fee waived if your income falls within certain guidelines.

Not Ready to Start Yet?
- If you would like to pay with your debit card over the phone or by money order, click here to print the registration packet or call toll-free 866-430-2227 to request the registration packet. You must have a valid driver’s license or state-issued photo ID to register.
- Complete the registration form and return to the address on the form along with a copy of your photo ID.
- Once we receive your completed paperwork and payment, we will email you a link, user ID and password to begin the online class titled Money in Motion.
- Note: Married couples will receive separate user IDs and passwords.
