Nick Fortunato, Controller

Nick Fortunato joined Advantage Credit Counseling Services as Controller in February 2001, bringing 25 years of financial and accounting administration experience to the position. Most recently, Mr. Fortunato served as Senior Vice-President Controller for Ketchum Directory Advertising, a company with over $20 million in annual revenue.

Mr. Fortunato has had finance, accounting management, merger and acquisitions and administrative functions throughout his career. He has directed accounting and treasury functions, working to maximize earnings through the investment of excess funds and accelerating collection of receivables.

Mr. Fortunato created a financial services and billing department from the 'ground-up' consisting of 20 employees. His management responsibilities included accounts receivable, accounts payable, general accounting, budgeting, taxes and overseeing the employee policy and procedures manuals. He has also been responsible for several successful financial system conversions.

Mr. Fortunato received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Pennsylvania State University. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants as well as the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is also a member of the Pittsburgh Chapter of the Financial Executive Group.
