Health Care Costs

If an apple a day keeps the doctor away, many of us might want to consider investing in an apple orchard.  Why?  With the cost for health insurance increasing, more and more people are being shut out from being able to afford coverage.  The increase in medical costs continues to outpace the growth of wages, which suggests that more Americans will not be able to afford health insurance.

Is there any hope in sight?  There are programs available that provide low-cost health insurance or even no-cost health insurance.  For example, Medicaid and the State Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) are government –sponsored health insurance plans.  There are others.  The key to finding such coverage is in doing your homework.  There are numerous social service agencies that can provide information concerning getting health insurance coverage.
