Back to School Shopping
Back-to-school shopping can wreak havoc on a parent’s wallet. Prepare your kids for school without breaking the bank. Your children can even benefit from the shopping experience by learning how to be wise consumers.
Take an inventory of what your children already have and develop a budget for what they still need. Sit down with your children and set priorities on purchases. By having a prioritized, budgeted shopping list, it can be trimmed easily by cutting from the bottom of the list.
The most important thing to remember is to stick to the budget you set. Bring only as much cash as you need and leave your credit cards at home. Shopping for less is a challenge, but with planning and forethought, you can prepare your children for another school year without breaking the family budget.
